Senior Android Software Engineer

Now, let’s make sure you’re a good fit for the role: Key Responsibilities • Drive technical discussions and decisions, ensuring effective application architecture and programming standards are implemented. • Design and manage processes for development, testing, monitoring, and change management, while collaborating with product teams to align technical and business goals. • Identify and address technical debt, continuously improving team productivity and ensuring the delivery of high-impact projects. Must-have Skills • 5+ years of Android native Mobile development experience. • Hands-on experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. • Familiarity with data structures, system design, design patterns, API design, MVP or MVVM, declarative UI, Git, and DevOps. • A full-stack background is a huge plus. Familiarity with cloud services, GraphQL, Firebase, etc is a plus. • A passion for news and creativity to introduce new ideas and technologies. If you have a background in journalism, even better Nice-to-have: • AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
